9. Cookies
Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files consisting of a series of numbers and letters that are stored and saved on the device you use. Cookies are primarily used for information exchange between your device and our website. These include, among other things, language settings on a website, login status, or the location where a video is played.
When you visit our websites, two types of cookies are used:
Temporary cookies (session cookies): These store information called a session ID, which assigns various requests from your browser to a shared session. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close your browser.
Persistent cookies: Persistent cookies remain stored even after the browser is closed. This means our website can recognize your computer when you return to our site. These cookies store information, for instance, about language settings or login details. They may also document and save your browsing behavior. This data can be used for statistical, marketing, and personalization purposes.
In addition to the above classification, cookies can also be differentiated by their purposes:
Necessary cookies: These are cookies essential for the operation of our website, such as saving your login details or shopping cart during your session, or those set for security reasons.
Statistics, marketing, and personalization cookies: These are cookies used for analysis or to measure access. Such "tracking" cookies can be used to store information about search terms entered or the frequency of page views. Additionally, individual users' browsing behavior (e.g., viewing specific content, using functions, etc.) can be recorded in a user profile. These profiles can be used to display content that matches users' potential interests. If we use services that store cookies on your device for statistical, marketing, and personalization purposes, we will provide specific information about this in the subsequent sections of our privacy policy or when obtaining your consent.
Legal Basis:
Legitimate interest, Article 6 Paragraph 1(f) GDPR
Unless we obtain your consent for the placement of cookies, we base the processing of your data on our legitimate interest in improving the quality and user-friendliness of our website, especially its content and functionality.
You have the right to object to the use of cookies determined by us under our legitimate interest via your browser's security settings. Here, you can choose whether to accept cookies from the outset, only accept them upon request, or have cookies deleted every time you close your browser. If cookies are disabled for our website, it may no longer be possible to use all functions of the website fully.
Consent, Article 6 Paragraph 1(a) GDPR
If we request your consent to place certain cookies on your device before visiting our website and you agree, the legal basis for this is the consent you have given. As part of your consent, we will provide you with detailed information about the cookies we set. If you do not grant this permission, only technically necessary cookies required for the proper operation and display of our website in your browser will be set. If you have allowed cookies to be set, you can revoke your consent at any time.
10. Web Hosting
To maintain our websites, we use a provider that stores our websites on a server and makes them accessible on the internet (hosting). The provider may process all data transmitted through your browser while using our website. This primarily includes your IP address and all entries made on our website, which are required for the provider to display our online content on the browser you use.
Additionally, our provider collects:
The date and time of access to our website
The time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
Access status (HTTP status)
The amount of data transferred
The internet service provider of the accessing system
The type and version of browser you use
The operating system you use
The website from which you may have accessed our website
The pages or subpages you visit on our website.
The above-mentioned data is stored as log files on the provider’s servers. This is necessary to ensure the stability and security of our website's operation.
Web Hosting Providers We Use:
You have the option to create a user account on our online platform. For this purpose, it is necessary to provide personal data resulting from the input mask. The data requested includes your name, email address, username, and password. We store and process this data to create a user account for you and enable repeated logins. You can change or delete the data at any time. The data will not be shared with third parties unless it is required for the technical or organizational operation of the user agreement between us. To protect both you and us from malicious registrations, we store the IP address assigned to you, the registration date, and time during the registration process.
11. Processing of Your Data When Placing Orders Through Our Online Booking System
If you make a booking through our online platform, we process the information you provide during the booking process to process your reservation. We will inform you during the booking process about the exact data we need.
If fulfilling the contract between us, safeguarding your vital interests, or complying with legal regulations necessitates it, we will share your data with third parties for this purpose, such as travel agencies tasked with providing tourism services, payment service providers for processing payments, or our tax consultant for fulfilling legal obligations. If we use third-party providers to deliver our services, the respective third-party provider’s data protection policies will apply.
User Accounts:
You can voluntarily create a user account where you can view and manage your orders. If you cancel your account, your data will be deleted. It is your responsibility to back up your data before cancellation. We use temporary cookies to save the contents of your shopping cart and persistent cookies to save your login status. When you place an order, register for a user account, or log in again, we store your IP address and the time of the respective user action. The purpose of this storage is to protect both our legitimate interests and yours against misuse and other unauthorized use.
Information About the Booking System We Use:
We use the following third-party booking system to manage bookings, process payments, and administer our offers. If you make an online booking with us, we will forward your name, address, electronic contact information, and payment details, as well as information about the specific reservation, to the respective travel provider to process the booking and payment process.
12. Payment Service Providers
In compliance with our legal obligations or based on our legitimate interests in effective, secure, and customer-oriented payment processing, individuals entering into a contract or other legal relationship with us may use banks, credit institutions, or other payment service providers for payment purposes.
The payment service providers we use process personal data such as names, addresses, bank information (e.g., account/credit card numbers, passwords, TANs, verification numbers), and contractual details to process payments.
The data collected in this context is required for the payment service provider to process payments. These personal details are collected and processed exclusively by the payment service provider commissioned by us. We do not receive any information regarding your account or credit card details. Our payment service provider informs us whether payments by our customers have been made. It is possible for our payment service provider to share customer data with credit agencies to verify the payer's identity and creditworthiness.
We refer to the data protection declarations and general terms and conditions (GTC) of our payment service providers for details.
Legal Basis:
Performance of a contract and pre-contractual inquiries (Article 6 Paragraph 1(b) GDPR):
Necessary for fulfilling the agreement.
Legitimate interests (Article 6 Paragraph 1(f) GDPR):
Ensuring secure and efficient payment transactions.
You may revoke your consent to the use of your personal data by a payment service provider at any time. Despite the revocation, the payment service provider may continue processing, using, and transferring personal data if necessary to perform contractual payment transactions. We refer to the respective data protection regulations of the payment service providers regarding the storage and timely deletion of personal data.

13. Online Advertising
We use services to display online advertisements. These services collect certain user data through a cookie or pixel. This includes, in particular, information such as which website referred you to ours (known as a referrer), which pages of our website you accessed, how long you visited our pages, and the types of interactions you had there. Additionally, data about the browser, computer system, and type of device you use is collected. If you have permitted location data collection, this may also be processed depending on the provider.
The respective service places a cookie or counting pixel on your device to collect and store this data, including your assigned IP address. However, this is shortened using a process called IP masking, so the IP address can no longer be attributed to your visit to our website. Generally, names or email addresses are not stored during the use of the respective service. This applies only if you are a member of the social network providing the service and link your profile to the above-mentioned data.
The data is evaluated by the service we use to create statistical reports containing information about the success of the advertisement, including the total number of visitors directed to our website via the ad. These reports may also contain information such as the devices and browsers used by users, their locations, and the times at which the advertisement was clicked. However, these reports do not contain any personal information that could identify you as a user of our website.
Please note that depending on the location of the service provider, data collected through the service may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the European Union. In such cases, there is a risk that the level of data protection required under the GDPR may not be met and that your rights may not be enforceable or may be difficult to enforce.
14. Newsletters
We send newsletters at regular intervals to inform our customers, partners, and interested parties about our offers and related news. You can register for our newsletter on our website and agree to receive it. If you subscribe to our newsletter, you will need to provide your email address. This email address is saved to send you the newsletter. Providing additional information, such as your title or name, is optional and used to personalize the newsletter.
When you register for our newsletter, you will receive a confirmation email to the email address you provided using a double opt-in process. This email contains a link that you must click to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. This ensures that your email address is not misused by third parties. For the same reason, we save the registration date and time, as well as the IP address assigned to you during registration.
Evaluation of User Behavior
If you have permitted it, we will evaluate your user behavior when sending the newsletter. To do this, our newsletters contain tracking pixels and tracking links. This allows us to see if and when you opened the newsletter and which links you clicked on.
We evaluate the success or failure of our newsletter statistically, as described above.
You can withdraw your consent to receive the newsletter and unsubscribe at any time.
15. Third-Party Plugins
We use plugins from various providers. These are “social media buttons” embedded in our website. You can identify the provider of a specific plugin by its logo.
To prevent data from being automatically transferred to the plugin provider when accessing our website, social media plugins are disabled by default on our site. For this purpose, we use a solution called "2-click." If you want to use a plugin, you can activate it by clicking the respective button. Only then will the plugin be reloaded, and data collection and transfer to the provider will be triggered. In this case, data may be sent to the provider, even if you do not have an account with the respective social network or are not logged in at the time.
Depending on the country of the service provider, data collected through the activated social media plugin may be transferred to and processed outside the European Union. In such cases, there is a risk that the level of data protection required under the GDPR may not be met, and your rights may not be enforceable or may be difficult to enforce.
